The Institute for Foreign Policy and Diplomacy (IFPD) has officially commenced a diplomatic tour across Member States of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), reaffirming its commitment to promoting regional unity, cultural diplomacy, and sustainable cooperation among West African nations.
The tour brings together IFPD officials and diplomatic envoys who will engage with government institutions, youth leaders, cultural stakeholders, and development partners across the region. The initiative aims to strengthen cross-border collaboration while fostering dialogue on peacebuilding, trade integration, youth empowerment, and people-to-people diplomacy.
Speaking at the commencement of the tour, IFPD leadership emphasized that regional integration remains a cornerstone for Africa’s development. Through this engagement, the organization seeks to deepen cultural understanding, encourage diplomatic cooperation, and reinforce shared values that bind the West African community together.
The diplomatic tour will feature courtesy visits, policy dialogues, cultural exchange activities, and strategic meetings designed to build stronger partnerships and advance the vision of a peaceful, integrated, and prosperous West Africa.
IFPD reaffirmed its readiness to continue working closely with ECOWAS institutions and regional stakeholders to support initiatives that strengthen unity, stability, and sustainable development across the sub-region.
