The International Forum for Peace and Diplomacy (IFPD), under the leadership of the Director General, Mr. Timmy, successfully carried out a cultural diplomacy tour to the Discovery Museum Abuja, bringing together a delegation of ambassadors for an enriching historical experience.
The visit, which formed part of the organization’s broader commitment to cultural diplomacy and youth engagement, provided ambassadors with firsthand exposure to Nigeria’s rich heritage, historical artifacts, and indigenous narratives preserved within the museum.

During the guided tour, participants explored key exhibits showcasing Nigeria’s cultural evolution, traditional practices, and significant moments in the nation’s history. The experience offered a deeper appreciation of the country’s diversity and reinforced the importance of preserving cultural identity as a tool for unity and diplomacy.
Speaking during the tour, the Director General emphasized the role of cultural awareness in strengthening diplomatic ties and fostering mutual understanding among young leaders across regions. He noted that such engagements are essential in shaping well-rounded ambassadors who can effectively represent and promote African values on the global stage.

The ambassadors expressed enthusiasm and appreciation for the initiative, describing it as both educational and inspiring. Many highlighted the importance of connecting with history as a foundation for impactful leadership and cross-cultural collaboration.
This visit marks another milestone in IFPD’s ongoing efforts to integrate cultural intelligence into its diplomatic engagements, as the organization continues to build a network of informed, empowered, and globally conscious ambassadors.
